162. Frivolous Lawsuits

We support further reform to discourage frivolous lawsuits. We oppose the abusive use of class action lawsuits and any law that allows government agencies to collect lawyer fees from the plaintiff when they win, but not have to pay the plaintiff fees when they lose. We call for the legislature to keep the Texas Citizens Participation Act and essential protections for Texans’ 1 st Amendment rights.
