164. Human Trafficking Jurisdiction

We call upon the Texas Legislature to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to allow victims of human trafficking to have convictions within the previous ten years for prostitution offenses set aside if the victims received these convictions as a direct result of being trafficked. The Texas Legislature shall pass legislation granting the Texas Attorney General full concurrent jurisdiction over multi-jurisdictional cases, to be limited specifically to those cases involving human trafficking.
