Rights and Protections
Recognize Islam as a Political Movement

NEW PLANK

Islam should be recognized strictly as a geopolitical movement and ideological system using a deity to advance a system of governance, not as a religion, for purposes of legality, policy, and constitutional considerations in Texas;

As a political movement, Islam itself and activities advancing its political, or Sharia-based goals shall not be entitled to protections under the First Amendment's religion clauses when such activities conflict with the U.S. or Texas Constitutions, promote subversion of democratic institutions, or seek to impose foreign laws or parallel systems;

Texas courts, government entities, and institutions shall not accommodate, recognize, or enforce Sharia, and Islamic political doctrines, or practices that violate American law, constitutional rights, or Platform principles opposing foreign ideological threats.
