Abolish In Vitro Fertilization

NEW PLANK

We urge the Texas legislature to enact legislation to abolish in vitro fertilization (IVF). The creation of, and intentional (and unintentional) destruction of human embryos in the process of IVF, which are alive at fertilization, are moral evils.

All embryos in cryogenic storage in IVF laboratories are human lives. In the event that IVF is ended, these freezers will be maintained by the State until every embryo can be thawed  and implanted by either the couple who paid to create them or by couples that are willing to adopt and implant the embryos as their own children.
