Require Partisan Municipal Elections

NEW PLANK

The Republican Party of Texas hereby urges the Texas Legislature to enact legislation requiring that all municipal elections in the State of Texas be conducted on a partisan basis, with each candidate required to declare a political party affiliation (Republican, Democrat, Independent, or No Party Preference) and for that affiliation to be printed on the ballot next to the candidate’s name.
