Resolution to send to the State Platform and Rules Committees:
The SD9 Convention instructs the State Platform and Rules Committees to adopt a Thematic Consolidation Framework approach for the
2026 Platform, guided by the following mandates:
1. The "Thematic Pillar" Mandate: The Committee shall move away from an exhaustive list of standalone planks in favor of grouping related policies into unified "Master Pillars" (e.g., Constitutional Sovereignty, Economic Liberty, Sanctity of Life).
2. The "Consolidation Logic": To reduce the overall footprint without losing core substance, the committee is instructed to:
• Eliminate Redundancy: Remove repetitive prefatory phrases at the Start of every individual plank.
•Master Plank Integration: Nest specific tactical directives under broader strategic goals to create a cohesive narrative of governance.
•Audit for Policy Retention: Brevity shall not be used as a pretext for Striking established policy; all core stances must be retained and merged, not deleted.
3. The "Accountability" Standard: The final document must be formatted to ensure that "Legislative Priorities" are clearly distinguished and prioritized, providing no ambiguity for elected officials regarding the will of the convention.
